George Orwell stated this quote with the notion that people need to be productive in life. Writing is key. You need to be able to write well in order to be successful. If not, your thoughts wont reach their full potential. When people don't think for themselves, the opinions of others will become their opinions. The world would be extremely biased if people didn't express their opinions. Good writing originates from good education. Schools are mandatory to teach students how to read and write at a very young age, resulting in successful writers. Good thinkers will share and spread their ideas onto other people to keep the chain of good ideas and good thinkers going. The more good thinkers and writers we have in the world, the more interesting the world will be. Teachers are an amazing example of good thinkers. Good writers will not let other people's opinions become their own. Without opinion, there would not be disputes, arguments, or disagreements. The world would truly be boring.
I completely agree with this statement. I strongly believe that education is the reason for the amazing writers and philosophers that we have and have had in the past. Writing that students are taught lead to them becoming very opinionated and variety in opinion is what makes the world run. Thinking for yourself will get you through life with the utmost respect. My interpretation of well thinking would be having common sense and thinking of creative, expressive ideas that are your own. It takes a little effort to think of the ideas, it takes well thinking to bring those good ideas to life.
